200 pages of professional, art-historically processed text with an architectural description and iconographic analysis of all stations with all works of art between 1974 and 1994, including the artistic decoration of the adjacent underpasses and surrounding areas.

The book is based on the original meanings and mission of the metro's artistic equipment in relation to station architecture, which are currently unknown to the professional and lay public. The publication describes sculptures, mosaics, ceramic decorative walls, glass, stone and anodized lining of stations and light objects.

Approximately 300 photographs of all artifacts with appropriate descriptions of the titles of the works, processing techniques, dating and author's designation.

The book also deals with unrealized works, as well as artifacts that have been destroyed, covered or removed.

The issue of art competitions and their participants is described here. The text clarifies the original names of the stations, brief biographical data on artists and contemporary realities.

It also includes works that are directly or indirectly related to the surrounding parterre of metro stations, or are inspired by the subway.
